Luke's sunny disposition is showing here. He is such a happy little boy now, fully adjusted to life in his new home. I'll bet nobody has ever seen a cowboy with OI before! [photo: first on left]
Living on a farm provides Luke with the opportunity to experience many different animals. Someday he might even be able to ride horse by himself; that is certainly one of his goals! [photo: first on right] Playing in the snow is an altogether new experience for him, and he adores playing in the mud (of which there is no shortage). [photo: second on left & right] Accidents are always bound to happen when little boys are concerned, and Luke has good days and bad days. Even when immobilized by a cast, he still manages to smile. [photo: third on left] We have all just learned to be grateful and appreciate the days when he does not have to experience pain. In February 2002 my parents adopted Luke Francis Hurt. I was given the honor of serving as his Godfather, while our Aunt Tami is his Godmother. We both understand what a big responsibility our roles bring, and will strive to be good role models for him. With his adoption I now for the first time officially have a brother! We are still outnumbered by our sisters 3-to-1, but we will let you figure out who really rules the roost. ;) Our Dad enjoys educating his new son in the ways of farming and tools, as well as healthy doses of how to have fun. I don't think there is much doubt that my little brother is enjoying his role in the family. [photo: fourth on left, third and fourth on right]
